Taking the time to write down my thoughts in this blog is one of the few guilty pleasures I seem to not indulge in on a regular enough basis. The things that we need the most are often the things we take care of last. From proper nutrition/exercise to the relationships we have with our loved ones…
It seems all too common to treat the random stranger in the street far better than our own family member, as we would never/rarely snap or yell at somebody upon our first introduction. Yet, it’s all too common that we reserve the lowest courtesy ranking for those we…love.
Whether we like to admit it or not, each one of us has a side to our personality that we’d rather not show to the rest of the world. My periods of productivity are paired with intense sessions of unproductively. For every minute of happiness and contentment, there are mirrored moments of anxiety, stress, and depression. Tomato, tomato.
Without a fluctuation in our emotions and personality, we would be lifeless beings who lacked the ability to emote properly. The eagles may soar in the mountaintops…but the fruit grows deep in the valley.
Increasingly conscious that I’m getting older and need to start listening to my body more than I currently do. “You’re very lucky” is not something you want to hear from a board certified cardiologist, at the age of twenty-six (26).
Looking at my workload for the next ten days, I can’t help but laugh a little bit at the sheer magnitude of it. I’ll work all night tonight and still have more to do in the morning, even operating at peak efficiency. Plaat efficiency. That being said, I don’t know anybody who could handle this current amount of work in a month and a half, let alone ten days.
Average is so passé.
There are few things that beat the feeling of inspiration and execution. When these times happen, I am amazed at the way that work and creativity develops in front of my eyes on the screen of my computer.
More of these times are coming.
I’m on my way to becoming my own client. Soon. Soon. Soon.
