Dear Friend,
It’s been quite some time since I’ve written you. Hopefully all is going well with you in your life. I certainly hope so, anyway. You’ve been on my mind quite a bit these days. Well, that’s not quite putting it properly; you’ve been on my mind for a very long time. It’s a bit difficult to explain but I will do my best to put my thoughts into this letter.
I have touched on this subject in the past. However, it has never bene properly explained what goes through my mind when I think of this. While driving, I looked at the outside sky and realized, yet again, how beautiful this world is that we live in. In that moment, everything else faded and I touched a moment of eternity; not thinking about time, place, purpose, or circumstances. It was…wonderful. It’s moments like these that are supposed to be shared. However, they are often ignored and swept away in the business of our lives. Do you ever wonder what would happen if everybody in the world took a few minutes to take in the beauty of their surroundings?
Do you believe it’s possible to know somebody before you ever meet them, to understand exactly how somebody feels before you ever set eyes on them, or to enjoy the presence of somebody before you ever shake their hand in introduction? I do.
In the midst of all of the events life presents us with; the challenges, thrills, excitement, sadness, exhilaration, and questioning moments, I believe we really have something wonderful to wake up to. Life, itself. That’s it.
So, here we are. There you are. It’s good to know you are there. It’s good to know I am here. And, in this midst of the whirlwind presented by life, it is wonderful to know there is another person fighting for their very life.
